Structural Support

Structural support refers to the load-bearing components of a vessel that provide stability and strength to the overall structure. These components include the hull, keel, bulkheads, frames, and decks. The hull is the main body of the vessel and provides buoyancy and protection from the water. The keel is a longitudinal structural member that runs along the bottom of the hull and provides stability and prevents the vessel from capsizing. Bulkheads are vertical partitions that divide the interior of the vessel into compartments and provide additional strength to the hull. Frames are transverse structural members that support the hull and decks. Decks are horizontal structural members that provide a platform for crew and cargo and also contribute to the overall strength of the vessel.
