Warning Signals

Warning signals are visual or audible signals used to alert ships of potential danger or to communicate important information. These signals can be transmitted through various means such as flags, lights, sirens, or radio communication. Warning signals are an essential part of maritime safety and are used to indicate a variety of situations such as navigational hazards, weather conditions, or the presence of other vessels. The International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea (COLREGS) provide guidelines for the use of warning signals and require all vessels to maintain a proper lookout and take appropriate action upon receiving a warning signal.
