Cable-laid

Cable-laid refers to a type of rope construction where three or more ropes are twisted together in a left-handed direction, forming what is called a hawser-laid rope. These hawser-laid ropes are then twisted together in a right-handed direction to form a cable-laid rope. Cable-laid ropes are commonly used in the maritime industry for mooring lines, towing lines, and other heavy-duty applications due to their high strength and durability. The individual ropes in a cable-laid rope can be made from a variety of materials, including natural fibers like hemp or synthetic fibers like nylon or polyester.
