Exhaust Gas Cleaning Systems

Exhaust Gas Cleaning Systems, also known as scrubbers, are devices installed on ships to reduce air pollution caused by the emission of harmful gases from the ship's engines. These systems work by removing sulfur oxides and other pollutants from the exhaust gas before it is released into the atmosphere. The scrubbing process involves spraying the exhaust gas with water or other chemicals, which react with the pollutants and neutralize them. The cleaned gas is then released into the air or reused in the ship's engine. Exhaust Gas Cleaning Systems are an important tool for reducing the environmental impact of shipping and complying with international regulations such as MARPOL Annex VI.
