Fodley Hatch

Fodley Hatch is a type of hatch cover used on ships to cover the opening of cargo holds. It is a folding hatch cover that consists of several panels that can be opened and closed in a concertina-like manner. Fodley Hatch covers are commonly used on bulk carriers and other types of cargo ships to protect the cargo from water ingress and to prevent damage to the ship's structure. The panels are usually made of steel or aluminum and are operated by hydraulic or electric systems. Fodley Hatch covers are designed to be watertight and can withstand heavy weather conditions at sea.
