Air Emissions
Air emissions refer to the release of pollutants into the atmosphere from various sources such as ships, ports, and other maritime activities. These emissions can have harmful effects on both human health and the environment, contributing to issues such as climate change, acid rain, and smog. The main types of air emissions from maritime activities include sulfur oxides (SOx), nitrogen oxides (NOx), particulate matter (PM), and greenhouse gases (GHG) such as carbon dioxide (CO2).
