Keel Docking
Keel docking is a process of dry docking a vessel by supporting it on its keel. In this method, the vessel is brought into a specially designed dock where the dock is flooded and the vessel is floated in. Once the vessel is in position, the dock is drained and the vessel rests on its keel. This allows for easy access to the hull and keel for maintenance and repairs. Keel docking is commonly used for smaller vessels such as yachts and fishing boats, but can also be used for larger vessels such as naval ships and cargo vessels.
